The kingdom revealed

Daily reading: Luke 11:2-4
Tuesday August 23, 2016

Focus passage: Jesus told them, “When you pray, say: ‘Father, uphold the holiness of your name.  Bring in your kingdom.” Luke 11:2

Jesus lives fully in the kingdom and he actively invites others to join him in living into this kingdom.
Every action, every sermon, every healing touch is an invitation to be part of God’s kingdom, to realign our thinking and our practices.

While the kingdom is revealed in Jesus, it is something that we don’t always grasp or see.  It happens in those moments when we know we are doing God’s will by loving our neighbors.

Prayer: God, help me to experience your kingdom today, in my words and my actions guide me.  Amen.
