Abundant Grace

Daily reading: 2 Corinthians 8:1-15
Wednesday June 29, 2016

Focus passage:  Brothers and sisters we want to let you know about the grace of God that was given to the churches of Macedonia.  While they were being tested by many problems, their extra amount of happiness and their extreme poverty resulted in a surplus of rich generosity. 2 Corinthians 8:2

Abundance had spilled out into the community of Macedonia and beyond not just in kind words but also abundance that is grounded in the fundamentally understanding that everything we have, absolutely everything we have, is a gift from God.  We are then given the opportunity to take what we have been given and use it to share the gospel message with others.

Prayer: God fill me with a spirit of generosity so that through my words and actions others can come to more fully know you.  Amen.
