Focus passage: But in fact Christ has been raised from the dead.  He’s the first crop of the harvest of those who have died. 1 Corinthian 15:20

Resurrection isn’t a prize, it is an ongoing process of receiving the good news and then living the good news.  Salvation isn’t a onetime event; it is an ongoing process of receiving the good news and then living the good news.  It transforms us.

The gospel likewise is not just a beautiful story that is contained within the pages of our bibles.  The gospel is the living presence of God in our world and in faithful communities.  It is the good news that says that nothing, absolutely nothing, not even death can separate us from the love we find in Christ Jesus.  The gospel offers to each of us a generous invitation to become part of the larger body that gives witness to the world.

It is about being able to name and claim the moments in your life when you encounter the living God and put those encounters into words that you share with others.

Prayer:  God you conquer all of our fears, help me to live fully today free from the things that bring me down and rob me of joy.  Amen.
