Daily reading: Mark 16:1-8
Saturday April 2, 2016

Focus passage: But he said to them, “Don’t be alarmed! You are looking for Jesus of Nazareth, who was crucified.  He has been raised.  He isn’t here.  Look, here’s the place where they laid him. Go and tell his disciples, especially Peter, that he is going ahead of you into Galilee.  You will see him there, just as he told you.” Mark 16:6-7

Resurrection boldly declares to us that God is in the business of bringing dead things back to life.

So we are called together to go and find those places in our community where despair is so thick you can smell it, where there is no way out and hope has lost its way.  We are called to recognize those places even within ourselves that are dead, because that is where we find God working.  That is where God gardens.  That is where you will find resurrection.

Prayer: God of the resurrection, I praise you today.  Breathe new life in me.  Amen.
