The Love of God

Daily reading: Mark 10:42-45
Sunday, November 1, 2015

Focus passage: “Whoever wants to be first among you will be the slaves of all, for the Human One didn’t come to be served but rather to serve and to give his life to liberate many people.”

Who taught you about the love of God?

Was it only through words, or also through actions?  Did you observe something unique in that person? (Take time to share in the comment section of this post.)

The gospel isn’t just words; it is the living breathing presence of God in our lives.  It is the good news of God’s love, mercy, compassion, faithfulness, goodness, justice, joy, peace, kindness and forgiveness lived in our daily lives.

Today we celebrate the saints of our lives, not just the ones who have died, but the living ones as well.

Take time to think today about what imprint you want to leave on the world.  How can you serve Christ by serving others?

Prayer:  God may your Spirit infuse my daily living, may I be the presence of love, mercy, compassion, faithfulness, goodness, justice, joy, peace, kindness and forgiveness to others.  Show me the way to go!  Amen.
