How can you serve?

Background passage: Mark 10:42-45
Daily reading: Matthew 25:31-46
Thursday November 5, 2015

Focus passage: “Then the king will reply to them, ‘I assure you that when you have done it for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mind, you have done it for me.’ Matthew 25:40

When we extend ourselves and serve others, Jesus teaches us that we are in essence serving him.  We are called to step out in faith, even if we are fearful of being the presence of Christ in the forgotten and pushed aside places in our communities.

How can you reach out to someone on the margins this week and be the presence of Christ?  Share your thoughts in the comment section of this post.

Prayer:  God may your Spirit infuse my daily living, may I be the presence of love, mercy, compassion, faithfulness, goodness, justice, joy, peace, kindness and forgiveness to others.  Show me the way to go!  Amen.
