Focus passage: The whole creation waits breathless with anticipation for the revelation of God’s sons and daughters. Romans 8:19

Waiting … when was the last time you had to wait for something?

The experience can really unhinge a person.  I think of my kids waiting to get their allowance when they are at the store and see something they have to have now, but have to wait.

We jokingly say “God grant me patience but do it quickly.”

There is much to be learned spiritually from the process of waiting.  It allows us to live in the in-between time of letting go and anticipating.
Hopefully in the waiting we are preparing ourselves for what new thing will be birthed in our lives.

Take time to read Galatians 5:22-23 a “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.”  What fruit of the Spirit do you need to cultivate in your life?

Prayer:  God may I embrace the bounty that you have provided in my life so that it can be a generous gift to others.  Amen.
