Background passage: Matthew 14:13-21
Daily reading: Isaiah 55:1-5
Wednesday October 7, 2015

Focus passage: Look, you will call a nation you don’t know, a nation you don’t know will run to you because of the LORD your God, the holy one of Israel who has glorified you. Isaiah 55:5

The abundant imagery of this passage has us dreaming of having both our physical and spiritual needs met by God.  But it goes further than that.  Grounded in connection with God and gratitude for that connection, the blessing then spills out to other nations.

When we are grounded in gratitude and sustained by prayer, we are able to take our own gifts and help the members of our community.

Take time to write down where you feel gifted.  How can you then use that gift to help others out?

Prayer:  God take my offering, small as it might seem, and bless it so that it can have a huge impact in my community.  Amen.
