Praying for Peace

Daily reading: Philippians 4:4-7
June 4, 2015

Scripture focus:  Don't be anxious about anything; rather bring up all of your requests to God in your prayers and petitions, along with giving thanks. Philippians 4:7

There are a lot of things in our world that can make us anxious, especially if we keep up on the daily news.  There are so many things in our world that we really don't have any control over and so our natural inclination might be to become over anxious in our daily living.

So rather than list the things that I believe bring anxiety into our lives (since I might mention some you hadn't even thought of), write them down.

Take time to look at the list.
And then offer those anxieties to God in prayer. Trust that God can and will help to ease your anxiety and give you a joyful outlook in life.

Prayer:  God I hand over to you the things that bring anxiety into my life so that I can experience your peace.  Amen.
