God loves the whole world

Daily reading: John 3:16-21

God didn’t send his Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world might be saved through him.  John 3:17

God loves the whole world!
Do we live as if we believe this?  I know that it can be a challenge because as we see time and time again in Jesus’ teachings that love doesn’t equal fairness.  Just think about the story of the owner of the vineyard who hires workers throughout the day some at the beginning, some in the middle and then some right before the end of the day.  They all get paid the same amount and those that worked all day long are upset.  It isn’t fair.
But the truth is, life isn’t fair and God loves us all, every single one of us.  God loves the whole world and that love isn’t based on your actions.
Prayer:  God may I embrace your unconditional love today and be that presence for others.  Amen.
