Continuing On

Daily reading: Luke 24:35-48
April 19, 2015

He said to them, “This is what is written: the Christ will suffer and rise from the dead on the third day, and a change of heart and life for the forgiveness of sins must be preached in his name to all nations, beginning from Jerusalem. Luke 24:46-47
Jesus begins his ministry with a call to repentance and the forgiveness of sins and here on the shore as the resurrected Lord, he reminds them that this is their calling.
As followers of Christ we are called to live lives centered upon forgiveness and repentance.  They are two cornerstones of our faith.  We are called to seek for God’s presence in everything we do and to be ready to extend forgiveness and receive it.

Prayer: God help me to forgive myself and to offer forgiveness to others.  Amen.
