Jesus asked, “How much bread do you have?” Mark 8:5
The stories of the miraculous feeding happen repeatedly in the scripture. There are key elements to the gospel writers telling of these unique stories. One of which is the reality that the crowd was hungry to learn from Jesus.
They have followed him away from civilization and haven’t made adequate preparation for the journey. There are no food trucks or convenience stores in sight and so Jesus has compassion on them and finds a way to feed them and do so abundantly.
He takes what is available and is able to make more than enough for the thousands that are present.
Do you trust that God can take what we offer, even if it seems impossibly small and will take it and bless it and multiply it?
