Expectant Faith by Pastor Leslie

Scripture: Luke 5:12-16

“Lord, if you want, you can make me clean.” Luke 5:12

Do you approach Jesus with expectant faith?

The man with leprosy did.  He knew deep within himself that Jesus was able to give him what he needed, a cure from his disease and the social isolation that came with it.

Jesus met the man where he was at and crossed a HUGE boundary by touching an untouchable and making him well.

Do you box the powers of Jesus in?  Believe that he can only do certain things in your life, so while you need more you only ask for a little?

While the answers we seek in prayer are not always a “yes” in the way we want them to be know that Jesus deeply desires wholeness not only in your life but in your community, where boundaries of separation are taken down.

Prayer: Come Lord Jesus, into our lives in a powerful way.  God you know us better than we know ourselves, help us to let go of things we cling so tightly too that bring us discomfort and isolation so that we can feel your healing presence.  Amen.
